On Monday, August 31st at 8:00am, the first day of school for first grade through fifth grade, we will continue our annual tradition of having our student leaders, the fifth grade, “Clap-In'' the younger students to set a supportive and enthusiastic tone for the school year. The fifth grade students and their teachers will line the hallway “clapping-in” the rest of the school. This will establish the leadership for this terrific group of fifth graders for the school from the opening moments of the school year. If your child(ren) is/are not taking a bus, we are asking that parents with children in grades 1-5 drop off their child outside the main entrance to the school between 7:45am-8:00am. Students will then walk to the backfield and gather by classroom and meet their classroom teachers there. Parents are more than welcome to join us on the backfield as we “Clap-In” our students.

The Wayland Police Department informed us that there will NOT be a crossing guard at the intersection of Rt. 30 and Loker Street this school year. Please preview this with your children and show them how to cross safely.

There will be a crossing guard at the Loker Driveway on Loker Street at arrival & dismissal.

As always, we encourage drivers to use extra caution and watch for students and families crossing near the school.

Student medications may be dropped off to the Health Room prior to the start of school at the following times:

As a reminder, all medications being stored in the Health Room for the school year require a current up to date order signed by a Health Care Provider dated from July 2025 or later.
